The first thing we had the girls do was to develop the original design they had been given. This included choosing colours and design details.
The colours they wanted to do were 3 shades of blue, the lightest for the youngest (Cordelia) to represent her innocence; and the darkest for the eldest (Goneril) to represent how evil she is.
Where this was a very nice and artistic way of looking at it, however Fiona and I decided that it didn’t really appropriate for this particular version of the play as we already have a lot of sourced blue overalls and the colour gradient isn’t particularly accurate.
After this, Fiona asked me to choose a colour pallet which I will discuss in the next post.
